Senior Vice President/Investments

Drawing upon his extensive wealth management experience, Matt employs a disciplined approach in helping his clients construct portfolios, incorporating Stifel’s high-conviction investment platform and money managers for the team’s ultra-high-net-worth investors. In his role, he focuses on developing highly personalized asset management strategies and administering the team’s overall investment process, which seeks to generate current income from a combination of assets, dividends, and interest across multiple asset classes.

Matt began his investment industry career in 1998 at Lebenthal & Co.’s Private Client Group in New York and partnered with Alex Witherill at Lehman Brothers two years later. In 2004, Matt and Alex joined the Private Banking group at Credit Suisse, followed by Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, where Matt served as a Vice President. Matt joined Stifel as part of its acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, in 2015.

Matt earned a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He lives in Mill Valley, California, with his wife and three daughters.

Ryan began his investment industry career at Stifel in 2023 as a wealth management intern. He grew up in the East Bay in Concord, California, and earned a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley.

Ryan played baseball in high school and still continues to help with summer camps at Clayton Valley Charter High School. Residing in Berkeley, he enjoys watching sports, with his favorite teams being the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors.

Peter is responsible for the team’s operations, reporting efforts, trade execution, and other general client services. Prior to joining Stifel in 2019, he worked at Foresters Financial, a financially driven nonprofit in Phoenix. There, he presented detailed, research-based guidance to individuals, schools, and various organizations as it aligned with their unique financial needs.

Peter’s late father, Patrick Goudy, was a long-time financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial. As a young boy, Peter was in the office watching, listening, and assisting in any way he could. His father was able to instill the values and integrity that come along with being a financial representative.

Peter is fourth-generation San Franciscan. He is also a soccer referee for the Catholic Youth Organization. He attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory and earned a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Arizona.

Nataliya Popel

Nataliya Popel

Nataliya Popel is a Managing Director and the Head of the Structured Investments Team at Stifel. Prior to joining in 2016, Nataliya was a Vice President at Barclays on the Equity and Funds Structured Solutions desk, where she worked for over 10 years and was responsible for origination and distribution of Structured Investments and quantitative strategies to banks and broker-dealer clients. Nataliya is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Lauren Harrington

Lauren Harrington is a Vice President and Co-Head of Stifel’s Global Client Coverage Group (Client Coverage), which focuses on deepening client relationships across the firm. In this role, she is responsible for leading the firm’s strategy to align and integrate all parts of the Stifel platform in order to address the multifaceted needs of its clients.

Before leading Client Coverage, Lauren was an Associate in Stifel’s Investment Bank, where she worked with Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds in the Financial Sponsors Group. She also liaised with Stifel’s Private Client Group to develop new business opportunities for the investment banking division.

Prior to joining Stifel in 2010, Lauren was an Analyst in the Capital Strategies Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, formerly Citi Capital Strategies. While at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, she advised Smith Barney clients on the sale or recapitalization of their privately held businesses. Lauren and her teams successfully advised on transactions resulting in over $180 million in aggregate closed transaction value across a multitude of industries, including aerospace & defense, business services, and healthcare.

Anthony Ruscigno is a Senior Wealth Strategist at Stifel. He educates high-net-worth clients on wealth preservation and wealth transfer planning matters, including the integration of personal planning with appropriate investment strategies. Anthony joined Stifel in 2015 as part of its acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas.

Prior to joining Barclays in May 2011 as a Wealth Advisor, Anthony practiced law as a Tax, Trust, and Estates Attorney at Porzio Bromberg & Newman P.C., focusing on tax and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals. Anthony formerly practiced at the Law Office of Richard E. Ingram, Esq. and at Mantell & Prince, P.C., where he advised on tax planning for individuals and entities. Prior to that, Anthony was a Tax Manager in the Structured Finance Group at KPMG LLP.

Anthony earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Pace University, a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He also holds Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Investment Advisor Representative) securities registrations.
